Senior high school student Makoto Itou first notices Kotonoha Katsura at the outset of his second semester, freshman year. Immediately, he becomes entranced by her beauty, but his bashfulness doesn't allow approach her, while they ride exactly the same train every day. Instead, he snaps a picture of her in secret and sets it as being his cell phone's wallpaper: a charm that, if kept under wraps, would supposedly assist you to realize your ex girlfriend. However, classmate Sekai Saionji spots the photo, but rather than ratting him out, she provides help set him track of Kotonoha-going as much as befriending her exclusively for him. Thus, the trio begins an extremely impromptu friendship.
